As chief operating officer, Connell Branan oversees program development, communications, and contributes to the organization’s overall strategy. She has been involved with American Mothers since 2006 when she was named the National Young Mother of the Year and served as the National Board President from 2011-2013.  Recently, she moderated a panel sponsored by the organization on Human Trafficking at the 59th Meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations.  Connell has an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and previously worked in Washington D.C. for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. She and her husband Cliff, live with their two children in Oklahoma where Cliff previously served as a member of the Oklahoma State Senate and Connell continues to volunteer in the community with the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, the Oklahoma Association of American Mothers and the Junior League of Oklahoma City.
