American Mothers annually hosts a 5th grade student essay contest, “What My Mother Means to Me,” which runs from August 15th thru January 15th.
Participating is easy! In 150 words, any 5th grader can share what makes their mom extra special. All entries are submitted by January 15th, to a 5th grade teacher or homeschool equivalent. Teachers submit entries to their state’s American Mothers representative or send it to the American Mothers National Office by January 30th.
A winner will be selected from each state and a national winner will be announced by March 30th. Monetary prizes will be given to the top three essays nationally and the National Winner will be invited to read their essay at the annual American Mothers’ Conference in Washington DC!
