American Mothers, Inc. to Celebrate 80th Annual Conference
Three Day Event to Feature  Keynote by Robin McGraw and Presentations by Human Trafficking Experts

American Mothers, Inc.®, a national non-profit dedicated to honoring and supporting mothers around the world, is proud to announce its 80th Annual National Conference. The event will take place at The Willard Hotel in Washington DC April 23-26.

The national conference offers attendees, primarily mothers from across the world, three days of education, inspiration and networking. It culminates on the night of the 25th with the American Mothers Gala, during which the 2015 National Mother of the Year® and 2015 National Young Mother of the Year will be announced.

The theme of the 2015 conference is “Mothers Eyes on the World,” reflective of American Mothers’ focus on issues facing women worldwide, including human trafficking and domestic abuse.

“There’s never been a more important time for mothers to connect to learn and celebrate motherhood,” says Joan Braitsch, American Mothers president. “For 80 years this conference has changed lives. Mothers who attend will make relationships that last for a lifetime, and be even better equipped to lead their families and communities.”

The keynote will be delivered by Robin McGraw on April 25 at 12:30pm at a special luncheon. McGraw, the spouse of Dr. Phil McGraw, is a nationally recognized  philanthropist, entrepreneur, television personality and two-time #1 New York Times bestselling author.

Human trafficking experts Matt Osborne, from Operation Underground Railroad, and Nancy Rivard, President of Airline Ambassadors, and Deb Sigmund, Founder and Director of Innocents at Risk will keynote the Hero Mom Luncheon on April 24 at 11:30am. Other speakers at the conference include 2014 National Mother of the Year Gerre Schwert, 2014 National Young Mother of the Year Heidi Kim, as well as a special presentation from two mothers from Rwanda.

Attendees and the general public are invited to attend the second annual Mom Strong fun run at 7am on the morning of the 25th. Profits from the run benefit local efforts to eliminate violence against women and children.

The American Mothers National Conference has been held annually since 1935, when Sarah Delano Roosevelt presented Lucy Keen Johnson from Georgia as the first American Mother of the Year.
