The South Carolina Mothers Association went to Columbia, South Carolina recently to celebrate and honor Annette Sutcliffe as their 2010 Mother of the Year. The day began with a lovely luncheon at the Palmetto Club in Columbia where outgoing South Carolina and 2009 National Mother of the Year, Betty Jean McGregor was honored. Betty spoke to those attending and shared the scrap books she made documenting her activities as the National Mother of the Year.
After the luncheon, the mothers went to the Governor's Mansion for a tea at the invitation of Mrs. Jenny Sanford, the Governor's wife. Annette and Lenni have a combined family of eight children, and seven of the eight were in attendance at the Tea in Annette's honor. Annette also received a letter of commendation from her State Senator.
During the luncheon, Lindsey Hart was recognized and honored as the first place winner in Graphic Art Design for the Cultural and Creative Art Contest sponsored by American Mothers, Inc. ®. Her photography can be seen at www.harttohartdigital.com
