Summer Update

The close of summer is always an exciting time for American Mothers.  Just as we get our kids back to school and have time to take a breath, we also start engaging our legislators, supporters and members in the nomination process to meet wonderful women from across the country, and we launch our 5th grade essay contest  and get to read the delightful words that children say about their moms.   We also start planning our next convention which will be held on April 23-25, 2017, in Washington, DC.

While you’ve been busy with your family, our organization continues to stay aware of many national issues that impact moms and we’re addressing these issues with answers.  We recently supported bi-partisan efforts in Washington, DC to make sure parents have good information about what their children eat, and we continue to expand our work on a global scale so all mothers around the world can enjoy motherhood and raise strong and healthy children. Finally, we continue to support and honor each of you for doing a great job; at home, at work and in the world with many programs that you implement in your area on a grassroots level.  We hope you plan to get involved this fall, as we continue to grow, yet always remain motivated and responsive to the world of motherhood.  Together, we will make a difference.

I’d like to thank each of you for being a part of American Mothers, for attending our conference and bringing your expertise to our gathering. You, as a mother and a member of our great organization, have the vision, the knowledge, the wherewithal and the experience to help us pave our way into the future. You are truly our greatest asset today and tomorrow, and we could not accomplish what we do without your support.
