National 5th Grade Essay Contest
American Mothers annually hosts a 5th grade student essay contest, “What My Mother Means to Me.” The contest runs from August 15th thru January 15th.
Participating is easy! Click here for the rules. In 150 words, students share what makes their mom extra special. All entries are submitted by January 15th, to their 5th grade teacher. Teachers submit entries to their local American Mothers chapter or send to the National Office by January 30th.
A winner will be selected from each state and a national winner will be announced by March 1st. The National Winner will be invited to read their essay at the annual American Mothers’ Convention in Washington DC and will receive a $500 Golden Rule Grant to the nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization of their choice!
