Elijah Jackson Bond was born on August 24, 2013 to parents Elisha and Alex Bond joining his older brother Alexander of 3 years. He was a cheerful, inquisitive, energetic baby. He attended Village Tree Preschool in Culver City, CA and began his elementary school career at Grand View Boulevard Elementary in the Dual Language Program. There he embarked upon the journey of bilingualism to become proficient in English and Spanish. During his third and fourth grade year, he was identified as gifted/talented in the Intellectual and High Achievement Ability categories and was placed in the Gifted and Talented Education program. He is a member of First African Methodist Episcopal Church of Los Angeles, where he attends Sunday school and has been featured in church musicals, including “All About that Baby” and “Go, Go Jonah”. Elijah is a scholar athlete who loves basketball and football. His team recently won the flag football championship at the Inglewood Youth Sports League and he has recently been selected to play on the All-Star basketball team for the Baldwin Hills Recreation Center. Elijah is 10 years old in 5th grade and he continues to grow and develop into an extraordinary young man to make a positive impact on the world. He is excited about what the future holds and about making himself and his family proud.
