Dear Moms,
This morning my 8-year old son saw a news story about this Gillette commercial that is supposed to be encouraging men to set a better example for boys. I thought he was watching Disney while he ate breakfast, so imagine my surprise when he walked into my bedroom to ask me about toxic masculinity and the #MeToo movement. I panicked and told him that I wasn’t sure, but that I would do some research and get back to him. I am a single mom and I try very hard to play the role of both mom and dad for my son, but this is one conversation I don’t know how to have. Please help!
