Celebrating the American Mother

Happy 241st Birthday America! Who knows how to celebrate a birthday better than a mom? Lots of moms together! Check out some of the fun members of American Mothers had around the country this past Independence Day.

Nebraska moms Sue Clark and Sue Venteicher spent a minute with Goveror Ricketts at the Governor’s 4th of July Reception before they participated in the Seward Fourth of July Parade. This parade is one of the Top Ten Parades in the Nation where the small town of 6,000 fills with 40,000 spectators.

Colorado Mother of the Year and artist, Jennifer Ryan, ran in a color run with her family and managed to push her 94 year old father in his wheelchair along the route.

Mikayla Wisher, daughter of our National Board Member and former Montana Mother of the Year, Sabrina Wisher-DeWitt is ready to roll out for the 4th of July festivities in their great state.

Former Maine Mother of the Year, Shirley Hanley, raised over $20,000 for the War Memorial in Maine. She is seen here addressing members of the community at the memorial site.

National Mother of the Year® Rebecca Latham, participated in the 4th of July Parade in Red River, New Mexico. Rebecca is the Cabinet Secretary for Governor Susana Martinez at the Department of Tourism where she actively promotes travel and opportunities in the state of New Mexico.

Andra Ebert, Illinois Mother of the Year, participated in a local parade with her children (and horses!) to promote and celebrate American Mothers! Andra is the founder of Heartland Mini-Hoofs, a non profit that provides miniature horses as therapy animals to residents in Central Illinois. She is also the author of a children’s picture book, “Winnie the Mini Horse.”
