What is your favorite memory as a mother?

It is hard to sum up one favorite memory as a mother as I have several. One favorite memory of mine is when I had my 3-year-old son and my oldest who was 12 at the time started crying with happiness. He was so excited and just kept staring at his little brother in wonder. He continuously kissed him while stroking his face telling him that he would always look out for him and be there for him no matter what. That moment in the hospital touched my heart that I cannot adequately put it into words.

Are there any celebrity moms you would rate as a “Perfect 10?” Why?

Yolanda Hadid would be who I would rate as a perfect 10. She did not let her disease stop her from doing anything. She continued to be a supportive mother to her kids who were branching into the world, being there for her husband and taking care of his needs as well as maintaining a business. She did this with dignity and grace. I can relate to her regarding health issues as I have many due to the Army. I strive to make the most of each day with positivity as does she.

What is the best or worst “mom purchase” you’ve ever made and why?

The best mom purchase I ever made was purchasing baby monitors. I did not have one with my oldest and was terrified every night if he was breathing or not. My brother passed away from SIDS so I was afraid it was hereditary. With my 2 youngest, it brought me relief as well as sleep. I am also able to see what their room temperature is as well!

If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what would you ask?

I would ask if I will live to be old enough to see my children become adults with a healthy life and happy family. Since I am in my 40s with my youngest being 1, I worry I won’t be around to see them into adulthood.

What is the craziest thing one of your kids has done?

My oldest son licked the door handle at the mall to gross out my germaphobe husband. He thought it would be hilarious to do. All I kept thinking about is I hope he didn’t catch anything from doing that as well as kept asking myself, “WHAT WAS HE THINKING?!!!!”. My husband’s face was priceless.

What was your biggest misconception about being a mom?

A lot of people assume if you are a mother you can’t have a professional career at the same time maintaining a happy marriage and kids. I believed that as well but balance is the key and anything can be accomplished if you set your mind to it. I was recently told I would not be good at a job because I have children and how would a mother be able to do both. I am here to say that is NOT true. It may take a little work but us mothers can do anything, and I mean ANYTHING!

What is the most useless or unique talent you have?

I seem to retain a lot of information about the news that is may be useless but for some reason I seem to retain.
