What is your favorite memory as a mother?
The first smile, the first word, the first step, I cherish every moment as a mother and use it to bond with my kids. One of my favoritet moment was when I co-presented with my daughter in her class about our Muslim family. It just gave me hope 🙂
Are there any celebrity moms you would rate as a “Perfect 10?” Why?
I do not follow celebrity moms, unfortunately, even though I find Angelina Jolie’s humanitarian work around the world so inspiring and will be a stepping stone for her kids since kids observe what parents do not what they say. I like that she steps out of her celebrity life to have a reality check and stay engaged with real people and fighting the good fights.
What is the best or worst “mom purchase” you’ve ever made and why?
Oh!!!! So many hit or miss with that one. I guess it has to be the first door-knob safety for kids so I can have some privacy when I am in the bathroom. Worth very penny!
What is the craziest thing one of your kids has done?
My twin boys flushed the plastic floss singles into the toilet, clogged it, then flushed again and again. I heard their giggles downstairs and knew they were up to something. But it wasn’t until I started seeing the water dripping from the ceiling in the lower level kitchen that I realized how bad it was.
What was your biggest misconception about being a mom?
I guess I did not foresee how much work it is and thought things actually get better after 5 years. It turned out issues morph into more complicated stuff.
What is the most useless or unique talent you have?
It has to be connecting with people through public speaking.
