What is your favorite memory as a mother?
The moment my daughter was born and they handed her to me is a life changing moment frozen in time I will never forget. I thought she was the most beautiful angel in the world and I cried for hours in pure delight I had made this incredible little being. I’m not an overly sentimental person but I just remember the crying and being with my husband and parents and his parents and thinking WOW.
Are there any celebrity moms you would rate as a “Perfect 10?” Why?
Kristen Bell seems like an amazing mom but no mom is perfect. It’s part of the process.
What is the best or worst “mom purchase” you’ve ever made and why?
Best mom purchase is Costco or BJ diapers. I have spent way too much money on brand names and I wish I could go back and save some serious money.
If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what would you ask?
I would want to know what the bigger picture is all about. Life and death, God, and the purpose we are all here for.
What is the craziest thing one of your kids has done?
One of my foster daughters covered her face completely in my makeup and when I asked her what happened she told me she had no idea what I was talking about. A stranger came into the house and put makeup all over her and left and there was nothing she could do to stop it. And then she asked if I could leave her face that way all day.
What was your biggest misconception about being a mom?
That every mom has to be perfect. There is no way to know if how you are raising your children is the best way. You need to trust your instincts and do your best.
What is the most useless or unique talent you have?
I can multitask like no other. I can watch kids, read a book, have the tv on, vacuum and cook at the same time. lol
