What is your favorite memory as a mother?
My favorite memory as a mother, is by far those cries in the “wee” hours of the morning that my little ones demanded some one-on-one time with Mommy, looking for my warmth and loving touch to comfort them. Those moments seemed trivial and unimportant, at the time, as I battled sleep deprivation and the demands of balancing family, work and play. Today, however, as I reflect back, through the years, those moments are most treasured, with my children, held securely in my arms, as I sang sweet lullabies, making everything just right. Oh, to have those precious moments back, again!
Are there any celebrity moms you would rate as a “Perfect 10?” Why?
I would definitely rate Pop Star and Female Vocalist, Celine Dion, as a celebrity mom that has certainly, earned a “Perfect 10!” Celine yearned to be a mother and although infertility issues arose in her marriage to Rene, the couple made decisions for her to step back from her “superstar” music career with the hopes of starting their family. Little did they know, they would one day, be the loving parents of three sons. Unfortunately, as the years passed by, Rene died from cancer and Celine was left alone to raise their children. She has instilled in them, their father’s love.
What is the best or worst “mom purchase” you’ve ever made and why?
The best “mom purchase” I have ever made was a Camcorder. Although, funds were limited, at the time, I had convinced my husband that we needed a Camcorder to capture the memories of our children’s childhood years. A few years, ago, I came across a full box of 8 mm videotapes and had them converted to DVDs. The memories that were captured are priceless, as they have footage of everything from T-Ball to Karate, Dance, Band, Chorus, School Plays and even embarrassing moments such as losing a first tooth. What wonderful joy and laughter we share in these treasured memories.
