Bio
Jacqueline Robinson was born and raised in Charles Town, West Virginia. One of six children lovingly raised by her parents in a faith-filled home. Today, she is the blessed biological mother of three adult daughters, grandmother to twin boys, a bonus mother to many, and former foster mother. In 2009, she rededicated her life and became an active member of her church, where she has served faithfully in many roles where she has been elevated to Minister. A thriver of domestic violence, Jacqueline has made it her mission to be a voice for the voiceless. After many years of volunteer service, she was recently appointed Executive Director of Voices Against Domestic Violence, a role that aligns with her lifelong passion for advocacy, healing, and empowerment. Jacqueline recently felt called to channel her professional skills and compassion into a local nonprofit, where she manages a maternity home.
Parenting Philosophy
Being a single mother to three daughters has been the toughest, yet most humbling and rewarding gift from God. It is both my greatest challenge and my greatest joy. His love and grace are always present, especially when my own strength and understanding fall short. Most females can give birth, but it takes something divine—to truly be a mother. I believe my first calling as their mother was to “train them up in the way they should go,” to raise them in the church and teach them to know God for themselves. I was raised in the church and knew enough of the Word to trust God. He gave me our girls, and I gave them back to Him. Before they were mine, they were His. My job has always been to provide for them, protect them, nurture them, and love them. What I’ve come to realize is that as I raised my daughters, God was also raising me. Motherhood has been my greatest teacher—showing me contentment, selflessness, empathy, perseverance, grace, and mercy. My hope is that when my daughters, my masterpieces, look back, they recognize that it wasn’t me, but Him in me, that made everything possible. They know I love them unconditionally, but I could never love them the way He does. My prayer is that through me—my daughters and everyone whose lives I’ve touched—they have come to know not just a mother’s love, but the steadfast, unfailing love of their Heavenly Father.
Motherhood and Community
I am deeply committed to serving my community through a wide range of volunteer and leadership roles. As an active member of my church, I teach children’s church, lead the women’s ministry, and serve on both the finance team and pastor’s cabinet. In addition, I manage administrative responsibilities such as creating weekly bulletins, maintaining the church calendar, and overseeing social media outreach, helping ensure smooth operations and effective communication within the congregation. My dedication to social causes extends beyond the church. I volunteer with Voices Against Domestic Violence, assisting with planning, organizing, and executing events that raise awareness about domestic violence, as well as speaking at community gatherings to educate and empower others. I also support those in need through hands- on service: bell ringing for the Salvation Army, sorting, shopping, and packing Thanksgiving baskets with The Honeybee, and assisting with holiday gift wrapping for the Children’s Home Society. I am actively involved in feeding and supporting vulnerable populations, including packing lunches for children through Community Combined Ministries (KPP), preparing and serving meals at the Martinsburg Rescue Mission, and providing meals to unhoused neighbors. Additionally, I plan and host events at local assisted living and senior centers, fostering social connection and joy among seniors. Through these experiences, I have developed strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, while cultivating empathy, compassion, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of those around me. My volunteer work has strengthened my sense of community and reinforced the importance of serving others with dedication, respect, and heart.
