American Mothers has a long history of involvement with the United Nations dating back to former first lady Mamie Eisenhower’s involvement with the organization.

As a registered non-governmental organization in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at the United Nations, members of American Mothers are able to attend high level meetings at the United Nations, including the Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW), held annually in March.
